The mission of Operation Arthroscopy is to "bring orthopaedics and arthroscopy to a world in need."
Operation Arthroscopy was created by Bill and Erica Stetson as a result of the work started by Dr. John Feagin in Cuba. It is a small, grassroots, non-profit organization that is a 501(c)3 corporation and was inspired by their love and compassion for humanity.
The goals are to:
- Collect and donate arthroscopic and other medical equipment and supplies to countries that at this time do not have access to current medical technology.
- Organize and execute medical missions in order to teach orthopedics and arthroscopy abroad in areas that do not have access to these new techniques or equipment.
In pursuit of this mission, Operation Arthroscopy will provide a platform for collecting and delivering donated medical supplies, providing hands on training, as well as performing surgery with the local surgeons.
